These beautiful glass Christmas Ornaments are hand painted using a special inside out technique. Using narrow brushes, artisans have carefully crafted the design incorporating the signature Mauna Kea Beach Hotel plumeria. Though the designs are similar, each ornament is unique. Gold accents adorn top hanging loop and base. Comes packaged beautifully in an white padded box.

Tori Richard created the Mauna Kea 50th Anniversary Aloha Shirt in a custom washable silk/cotton jacquard weave evoking waves in perpetual motion. The exclusive design was inspired by the Japanese woodblock print motifs that have been a favorite of Tori Richard designers since the early 1960s, when company founder Mort Feldman translated his passion for Japanese antiques and screens into the prints that remain a Tori Richard signature.
In a nod to the hotel’s extraordinary collection of Asian art as well as its famed oceanfront location, the subtle monotone weave captures the timeless beauty of art and nature in one luxurious garment that’s not without a sense of whimsy: a close inspection reveals that the “spray” curling off the waves is made up of tiny Mauna Kea plumeria.

The critically endangered palila, a finch-billed species of Hawaiian honeycreeper, is found only on the southwestern slopes of Mauna Kea. Due to centuries of land transformation and deforestation, only 2,000 palila remain.
